Bidrage med feedbackThis Sushi restaurant is an absolute Gem of an 'find '. I visited here by chance and found that the food is fantastic ??It 's not a big restaurant and we found it quite busy for a Sunday evening (I 'd recommend Reserving a Table ? but we got a Table ?Service was really good, even though they were very busy, the Waitress took orders and delivered drinks without delays ?The Sushi is excellent, well made and tastes delicious. I can also recommend the Chick Katsu, I especially liked that it comes with plenty of Curry Sauce ? (not like other places The price for the food was also very reasonable ?
KOPAN SUSHI RAMEN is a dark, intimate, izakaya eatery that 's part of a twelve restaurant, southern California chain. Named Kopan to honor the flavorful meals of KObe JaPAN.Kopan does not accept reservations. You request seating on a computer tablet located at the entrance. We were quickly seated. The menu is extensive, colorful, with lots of tiny pictures. Our server, Jose, made helpful suggestions.Kopan Sushi Ramen 's team of excellent chefs create elegantly plated meals.I ordered the Vegan Ramen Bowl. The delicious stew is large, with a mix of lightly cooked vegetables cabbage, red cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, spinach, cherry tomatoes, corn, bean sprouts and seaweed , Ramen noodles, and tofu, served in a rich, slow cooked vegetable broth. Offered in three levels of spice, I choose the mild flavor. It was warm, flavorful, and slightly spicy. My wife ordered the Bento Box: miso soup, teriyaki chicken, rice, garden salad, and her chosen sushi roll. She found the combination delicious.A word of caution:We came here for dinner and parked in the ADA compatible garage, which is under the restaurant. Leaving, we discovered the elevator was turned off. We couldn 't find a staircase and the ramp into the garage was too steep to walk. When I went into the restaurant to ask for help, I was first told there was nothing they could do. A few minutes later the restaurant manager, Joshua, saved the day by offering to drive our car to street level. This excellent eatery provided great food and caring customer service. The Japanese word izakaya 居酒屋 is made up of three kanji with the meaning, “stay-drink-place.” A spot to grab a drink, settle in, and get comfortable. Google Parking: Elevators turn off at 7pm. Park in the lot behind the building. I could find no entrance to the underground garage except the steep ramp.To park in the behind the building ground level lot, enter the underground lot, using the Ventura Blvd entrance, continue through the garage to the up ramp, that leads to the surface parking lot. Parking is free.Wheelchair accessibility: Individual booths, that hold four, are not wheelchair compatible. Their enclosed patio has better access.
Great food and service! I only wish the serving size of the Shishito peppers (appetizer) was bigger. And the hot stone bowl was very bland, needs some kind of savory sauce.Food: 5/5
This is my favorite Ramen place. I have eaten at the Encino location and in the Northridge location and both are delicious. The place on Ventura is a little more upscale vibe the place in Northridge feels a little more casual and family oriented. Food is definitely delicious at both places. I recommend yellowtail with jalapeño and Yuzu. Their customized ramen is spectacular. I recommend the black garlic oil to drizzle on top of your ramen.
I usually never leave reviews to restaurants, I think this might actually be the first time I leave one. But this place is more than worth it, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is great. Everything was awesome. Usually some Japanese restaurants cater to Americans by giving a traditional style when it isn’t really traditional, this place doesn’t do that, it’s just quite and mellow, very nice for a quite dinner.
