Bidrage med feedbackUsed to be different, and it was great, fresh homemade chicken fried steak but now It's a Dennys, the food is good, breakfast, burgers ect.
This Cafe no longer exists it was replaced with Denny's. The biggest mistake the Hotel Nevada ever made!
If your road trip puts you through Ely, NV, this is a decent place to stop. We booked an actual suite (and when you 're trapped in a car with a family of four for several days... you NEED a little extra space, if you catch my drift and I think you do) for around $80! I 've paid more for a single room at a Motel 6 in BumTruck, Wyoming. The rooms, though nothing fancy, are clean and spacious and well worth the price. Fair warning: you might be a little put off by the place when you first walk in. The entire lower level of the hotel is devoted to casino space, and like most small town casinos in Nevada reeks of old cigarettes and despair. I was, however, very amused to see a gigantic Orange is the New Black themed slot machine holding court at the main entry. Who knew such a thing existed? Pour one on the curb for Poussey. #RIP But don 't let the funk fool you. The rooms are actually quite decent, and a steal at the price. I don 't know anywhere else that charges less than $100 for a two bedroom suite. Plus, a bevy of famous people from current to historical have spent the night here. If it 's good enough for Stephen King, it 's good enough for you! My guess is that he stayed here while writing Desperation, which is one of his lesser known but still quite creepy tomes. I recommend you DON 'T read it while traveling the Loneliest Highway in America (route 50) though. You 've been warned.
Unfortunately this is now no longer. They closed the cafe and turning it into a Dennys. Wish it were still open as we really liked this place.
Heinous. This place is disgusting and makes your clothes stink like cigarettes. Our bed was a challenge as well as it sunk in the middle which was awful for two people. We had to put up with a remodeling project going on that included banging, drilling and clanging all day. This was by far the worst hotel experience ever. Major thumbs down to this Historic hotel. Awful.
