Red Brick Saloon - Elwood

Here we met with old friends we hadn't seen for years. Came on recommendation of our friends. Tell our waiter I'll have what he has. They split a sandwich. So we shared one. Everyone has our desire to supplement, and mine was excellent! Friends were typical, but no complaints. The Tenderloin was perfectly crisp. Now I know why my friend is here!

We came here because we read that they had amazing breaded pork tenderloins and what we heard was right. EXCELLENT BPT sandwich and ribbon fries. They also offer a beef manhattan with a BPT as the base. Both dishes enough for two people!

When we arrived, the owner was there and employees were very organized. We gave our order of a patty melt, side salad, BLT on wheat with a side salad. Two couples and a single patron arrived and were seated. We continued to wait, and wait, and wait. They received their food and were finished. We continued to wait. We asked our waiter, Jordan, why everyone was served but us. We were told that we were now fourth in line because others ordered salads. Evidently, if ten other people ordered salads we would have continued to be placed last in line. Our waiter told us to talk to the General Manager. Believe me, he peaked long ago. Said he had no excuse, didn’t check on our food, and said he didn’t care if we came back or not. What a sorry excuse for a general manager. Absolutely no managerial skills nor service skills. Jordan has the ability to be a pleasant waiter, but not under the direction or training of this excuse for a manager. The owner needs to oversee this business himself or find a capable replacement for his general manager/bartender.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The tenderloin was huge!! You could make two sandwiches out of one. My husband and I split onion rings and ribbon fries. Both were great!! Will definitely make this a regular when we visit family there!

I met a friend here because it was a good halfway point between Marion and Fishers. I had the tenderloin w/ fries and he had the wings with two difference sauces. We split an appetizer of cheese curds. Everything we had was excellent and the food came out quickly. It was a perfect evening so we ate on the patio. Even being outside, the service was fantastic. I will definitely return and will be telling people about this place as well.
