I went to Lemon Beach with a friend for 4 days, and we absolutely loved it! Our room was very modern, with a big comfortable bed, bathroom and balcony with view over the ocean. The decor was modern, and AC was working well. The facilities at the resort were also very well kept, like it's obvious they do good maintenance of the garden and the pool as well as the beach area and restaurant/bar. Parking was inside the premises and readily available. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, answering us fast on WhatsApp, and generally going out of their way to help us. The place just has a great vibe, and some nights there were activities like performance from the local dancing school or live music which we enjoyed since we were so exhausted from the rest of our vacation (we came from Accra) that we stayed in at least two nights. Food at the restaurant was good and inexpensive. I mostly had seafood as this was very fresh and well prepared. Be prepared to wait though, as they make everything when you order it, so you are not gonna get your food after 10-15 minutes. Generally we didn't mind, as we would just take a dip in the pool while waiting, but just be prepared if you are in a hurry If I come back to Ghana, I'm definitely staying here again!
Stayed here for a few days with my friend and we loved it. The room was spacious with good A/C and hot water. The staff was very attentive, fun and always readily available for questions or assistance with planning tours/trips.
Lemon Beach is great value for the price. My room (a chalet) was very nice, charming decor, great sheets, decent mattress. The service is all around excellent, which you don’t always find to be the case in Ghana. The food was good, the Negroni cocktail great, check-in was easy. The Saturday evening drumming and dancing group (with some amazing children was an extra treat. Only two things would make it even better: A few years’ time so the coconut trees grow taller, and removal of the sea defense wall (which isn’t going to happen and is not in the hotel’s control). The sea defense wall, to prevent climate-change related ocean rise from eroding towns and villages (and hotels) blocks direct access to the beach; however, an easy five minute walk to the east gets you to a beautiful sandy beach with no sea defense wall.
The only reason I’m deducting a star is because of the disappointing miscommunication that led to us waking up at 6am after already confirming a bird tour, only to have to wait an hour to utilize awful awful bikes( we didn’t pay for the bike tour ofc but still) Other than that it was a marvelous trip!!! The staff was excellent, food was delicious, drinks were on point and the facility was in great condition. Will definitely be back soon!
