Jausenstation Hochschwendt - Ellmau

Away from a slope that only leads here, with what almost the only T-bar left in the ski world Two buildings, one is the restaurant, the other I think accommodation. Sun loungers in an arc opposite the sun. We sat on the terrace of the restaurant and the smiling lady brought us very beautiful red wine and a pinch of fizzy water, which quickly disappeared the same (known for German as Kassler), the gammon, and came with sauerkraut and roast potatoes. My partner had the Hochschwendtburger. Home made beef and pork burgers, and maybe a bit crumbling compared to your regular beef burger conversation with the German guy my age and his son about Brexit. You think we've gone crazy. You are probably right

A nice ski chalet of a farmhouse and has rooms for rent. Very nice if not packed, a little too loud and chaotic whan full. Anyway, it's okay to accept the circumstances. Cake is fine.

Came here during a skiing holiday to Ellmau. Nice restaurant and quieter than anyone else on the slopes. Very relaxing with good food! The staff were also very helpful in the restaurant and helped us one day when we had to call...for a taxi when we missed the last tow at the end of the day! Thank you.

I came here on a long walk and had lunch here. The food is great and the staff is sooo beautiful! Great view from the terrace.

Noticeably cheaper than places higher up and less tucked away. Generous portions too. Sit outside under the eaves or in the deckchairs pointed at the sun. There’s a little terrace up a few steps. Large beer 3.30 tea with milk 2.10. The milk came in...its own little glass bottle very cute, and much nicer than a little plastic pot. Leberkäse and chips with a fried egg on top. 6.80 Salad with Putenstreifen strips of turkey 7.00 Coffee 2.50 All good except the coffee a bit insipid for my taste, but then my taste runs to espresso.
