Christopher - Ellisburg

On Sat. night we went to Christopher's with our entertainment card. First time there beautful place. I ordered crab cakes they came cold had to go back there was hardly any crab meat in them all filler not too thrilled with the dinner. WON"T GO BACK.

This restaraunt came highly recommended by a local critic. The food was poorly executed, displayed no creativity or flavor. My entree included fresh tomatoes. I realize that is Feb. 14, not prime tomato season, but if the best you can get are WHITE tomatoes, than don 't include them in your recipe. Both entrees also included shrimp. Frozen shrimp. My dinner partner ordered scampi that had a cream sauce. Classic scampi is not cream based and usually includes more than 6 frozen shrimp. The renowned clam chowder was so infused with nutmeg that it tasted more of perfume than seafood. The entrees averaged a $25 price; exhorbitant for such poorly executed food. The staff was excellent, the ambience non-existent. Save your money; go to Fridays!
