Bidrage med feedbackOnly reason I?m putting two stars is because I used to come here a lot when I had a long job in Elko back in 2020. Would have given it 4-5 stars back then. But tonight I rolled back into Elko for the first time in almost 2 years and thought I?m gonnaget a room at my favorite hotel/restaurant. (My room is very nice, this post is only about the restaurant). I ordered my usualrib eye and got served a very sad piece of cow. The steaks here used to be a solid 3/4? to 1? thick, this one was under 3/4? andway more grissle or fat than I would pay $33 dollars for. When I sent it back my waitress was full of excuses. Oh it must havebeen the last one or just a bad one in general. Then why did your cook prepare it and send it to me? If it was just one badsteak, then why even cook it? Do I just look like someone who would take it? Used to be my favorite spots in town, I spent thelast couple years recommending this place to friends passing through. No more. I?m done. I think this is one those places thatstarted strong, and acted high class, but ain?t worth your time unless you can?t drive and are already staying here.
The food was delicious and the waitress Amanda was amazing ???? ???? ????
The restaurant is in the hotel lobby and is an inviting space. We were staying at a nearby hotel and saw this restaurant was close by. We were told to choose a table, as it was not busy. After a few minutes, a hostess brought menus and said our serverwas busy but would be with us shortly. When she came, we asked what the soup du jour was and she said meatball soup, which mywife ordered. I ordered the Cajun pasta, which was supposedly to come with penne pasta, which I like. We also ordered hot tea.The tea came, but with no spoons, no sugar, and no saucer to put our used tea bags on. Also, we were not asked if we?d like somewater. I had to ask for all of these, which were provided. Then, we were informed that the meatball soup was in fact steak soup, whatever that is. It was more like bad beef stew. It was greasy, and the veggies were mush. My Cajun pasta came with spaghettiinstead of penne pasta. Our server explained that they had run out of penne. How does a restaurant run out of something so basicas penne when it is a key ingredient in a permanent menu item? The dish itself, despite the absence of penne, was not bad. Justa tad spicy but within range. However it was short on the mentioned seasonal veggies, being as it was just green and redpeppers, which are pretty much always in season. All in all, sadly just not up to par. There?s potential, but they need to stepit up a bit.
I've tried to come here 3 times for a date night. Each time I've been told they were open till 9 so I've even come early at 630 and was told they were closing and only doing to go orders... they lady's name was Cali and she was very rude about the wholesituation . As far as the food though because we did decide to do a to go order, it wasn't bad.
Been here three times now. Every time we show up they are always closing early or just closed. Called this morning the lady on the phone said they would be open until 9. Showed up at 7 just to be safe and was told that they were closing. I mentioned thatI was told they were open until 9 and the lady at the front was very short and said ya well I 'm closing early and only doing togo orders. She then went to the cook and apologized for having to cook our order. Do not recommend
