Guadalajara - Elgin

On the way to Austin from Houston. Nice little hole in the wall. The food is good with decent portions. Prices are cheaper than other Mexican restaurants. The staff is friendly and they are fast to get the food. Very casual, most customers are Hispanic boys coming from work.

This place blows me away every time. the staff is friendly and attentive, but the food.... the food is so good. the carne asada is the best I ever had. I gave to this dish at dinner in restaurants because so many places don't cook well. the queso is big and their variety of salsas are really good. the chips come hot, which also makes a big difference. We really appreciate this hidden jewel in Elgin. Oh and they stay open later than any other restaurant in the city! Another thing we like in this place is the atmosphere, its old school good food and good service, they let the food and service shine. also the only place I found with the cactus as a funnel, but if you think you're not a fan, give him an attempt, it makes the taco so good! I only have two pictures because most of the time I'm so excited to catch a picture. Would definitely recommend if you are in town or just by 290, amazing food and service!

This was here for the first time, the food was really good and authentic. Good service, food was fast and decently expensive. We'll be back.

Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Salsa has the right amount of spices. Food and service was amazing! We ordered the Chimichanga and the Enchiladas with mole. I recommend this place for locals and travellers alike.

The staff was very friendly. I received fast service. The food was very flavorful. I got the taco plate. The tortillas of the tacos were crispy and the meat was juicy and seasoned beautifully. I would absolutely return for another dish.
