Aqua Cafe - Eildon

I arrived at 22:30 on Saturday. from outside I can see dozens of customers on the deck, everything knows. I went in. huge space also inside. a white waiter held me right at the door, with a strict and suspicious face. what do you want? I felt quite intimidated as if I had moved into a private being. I just want to have something to eat. We ordered two steaks but they messed up our order and brought out two leather boots. No but honestly, we ordered one eye fillet medium rare and one porterhouse medium rare. We waited for an hour before I politely approached the manager who very rudely argued with me saying it had been only 50 minutes and it was a busy time so I should expect it. Mind you there were only about 5 other occupied tables in the place. When our meals finally arrived 10 minutes later, the porterhouse came out very well done and the eye fillet came out as a dodgy looking scotch fillet which also very well done. Very beautiful. very many people in the holiday season. eating was great and fast coming. beautiful place in the opposite will eat here again when coming to the eildonsee.

What a great joint. Had the steak which was cooked to perfection and come with a side of chips and gravy which were both absolutely spot on. Recommend going for drinks and a feed on the balcony overlooking the water

This venue has views over the houseboat harbour to Lake Eildon beyond could be fantastic, but misses the mark with just average food rather poor service. They try hard, but it could be sooo much better. On a good day, it's reasonable, on a bad day, it's horrible.
