Bidrage med feedbackTheir beer is very good! The set up is really nice. What I like most is that there is a bar downstairs and one upstairs! Which is great if they are busy or have a private event. Great place!
The purest water, clean and perfectly processed brews, and the variety of offerings to appease all palates were not the only discoveries we made at Hidden Sands. We also found excellent bartenders, friendly conversationalists, and smart business acumen. The new at-least-annual tradition we have now to visit Mike and Matt is a thing of envy of our friends and fellow beer connoisseurs. The brewery is spacious, clean, well organized, stocked with games and family fun, and has plenty of tables inside and out to accommodate any mood. Lunch or dinner delivery from a plethora of local establishments is highly recommended. The view of the reactors from the inside core space pairs excellently with the smell of yeast (on production days) and the 800’. Questions are always welcome. On our most recent visit, we thoroughly enjoyed the taste of several brews, but the masterpiece was the Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that is on Nitro. Our tasting notes are summarized here. You can imagine the facial expressions and hours of discussion that inevitably accompany the tasting of something so good. “For anyone who likes stouts, they will LOVE this.” Initial nose and the first few sips: Tropical fruit punch, pineapple, papaya, mango, whiskey pretzels After a few more moments, it opens up Mocha coffee, port wine and cashew liquor (feni), irish cream After several more minutes minutes Coffee cream, vanilla, fresh cream, dark chocolate brownies, nuttiness Some floral sweetness as well on the nose as well as yeasty goodness, sticky pudding, bread soaked with booze, malty, barleywine Oloroso sherry note develops in the taste over time (half an hour or more as it warms up). Try this stout before it kicks! If it’s not your thing, I suggest the porter, brewed with local beans from the Ocean City coffee company. It is an absolutely classic porter, with strong but balanced notes of roasted coffee, foamy cold brew, and definitely gets better over time. And if that’s not your thing, there are clean, natural fruity brews (IPAs, sours, ales) to enjoy. It’s. all. Good. If you are lucky enough to live close to Hidden Sands or any of the locations that have their beer on tap, put this on your list of things to do for the weekend and bring a jug to fill up with the water. If you are lucky enough to be in the area at some point, put this on the list. If you are not, live vicariously through us on our annual tradition. We cannot recommend this place enough for so many reasons, but perhaps above all, the genuine people who have put hearts and souls into providing a product so respectful of the brewing process that it should be celebrated for years and years to come. Cheers!
Hidden Sands is a great place to enjoy a nice pint of beer! We often drive out of our way to spend time at the brewery with the beers and the staff. The 800’ Pilsner is one of my favorite beers. It’s crisp, clean, and refreshing, a great testament of the brewer’s skills. They offer a variety of flagship, seasonal, and limited batch beers that will please just about every palate. The staff greets you and makes you feel like old friends, especially the owner. They’re very knowledgeable about their beer, which is very helpful for novice beer drinkers. They’re great at helping you find something on tap that suites your taste. The owner is great. He runs a well oiled ship. The tasting rooms are always clean and well kept. The beer is excellent and the rotating tap list provides plenty of reasons for a return visit. There’s always something new to try! It’s just a fun, comfortable place for a really good beer. We highly recommend that you stop in for a pint or two.
I really enjoyed coming here! The place, as with a lot of breweries, looks like nothing from the outside. In this case you are even wondering if you found the right building if you missed the sign near the road. Going inside you hook around the corner to the main bar area on the first floor and think, This is a nice place. However, you completely miss the fact that there is an upstairs and a seating area in the back behind the bar as well. The place is spotless (including the bathrooms) and they even have some table games available in the seating area to help you pass the time. Yes, they don 't serve real food here, but you can buy some packaged snacks. (Thank the NJ brewery laws for that feature) Their beer is great minus the potato Porter. Man, that one was the first one I ever had to get a replacement for in a sampling flight. Obviously your taste buds might be different from mine on that front. Super friendly service. No, I didn 't need to leave my card with them for the open tab. No, I didn 't even need to ask for a replacement for the potato Porter when I returned the flight with that one still almost full. It was all easy, comfortable, and the way it should always be.
Amazing beer and water of course. Hands down, best staff I've ever met. For us just passing through, we sure felt like regulars
