Brilliant pub. really well renovated with large staff, top food and drink. an absolute must be when they are in this area.

Visited for lunch after a brisk walk with my wife. The place was quiet, but that didn't bother us. We sat in the bar area and had the duck and chicken supreme from the main menu and it's some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. How this place isn't rammed is a mystery. Can't wait to come back.

I recently took my partner for dinner here after hearing it has come under new management post pandemic. The food was delicious and is definitely not your typical pub grub. These were restaurant quality dishes that looked as good as they tasted! The menu is concise but not stingy and there will be something for everyone, especially if you enjoy seafood as there was a wide selection of dishes which included fish. I tried the scotch egg followed by a sirloin steak finished off with sticky toffee pudding and I would highly recommend them all! The scotch egg was delicious even if the yolk wasn't runny, the steak was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the house butter. Then the pudding was a great end to the meal. For three courses I would set aside between £75 £90 depending on how many drinks and sides you order. The need to order side dishes is the only real reason I deducted a star. For the price it would be nice for a steak to come with chips, so it was slightly disappointing that my partner and I felt the need to order side dishes, no matter how tasty they were. The pub has ample parking and is very clean and tidy. You can also book online as long as you don't want a table the same day. Otherwise you will need to phone up.

We dined at this amazing restaurant for the first time tonight, and it was a wonderful experience. The manager frequently checked in on us at our table, which we appreciated. Our server, Summer, was exceptional! As someone in the catering industry myself, I can honestly say that Summer stood out with her charming demeanor and wisdom. She displayed genuine enthusiasm and passion for her role, which made a significant impact on our experience. The food was excellent, and we loved the fantastic cocktail menu. We enjoyed every moment of our visit and will definitely be returning. A big thumbs up to the team!

The dining experience was enjoyable and the food tasted great. However, there were a few basic mistakes that I wouldn't expect at these prices. The young staff seemed a bit inexperienced and chaotic at times. Additionally, the background music, while nice, was a bit too loud and made conversation somewhat challenging. Overall, it was a pleasant evening outdoors, but I would like to see some improvements before I consider returning anytime soon.
