Imo's Pizza - Edwardsville

This is my go to Imo's on the east side. What can I say, I grew up in St. Louis and I like provel. I've never been inside so I won't comment. The pizza is good old fashioned IMO's. Most important is that pick-up is easy, and delivery is very fast. The drivers are always friendly.

Anytime I am near St Louis I try to find an Imo's. Thank goodness they have expanded outside of St Louis and I found one in Edwardsville. I ordered a house salad and a 2 topping 12 pizza. Both items were so good. St Louis style pizza is so unique. The staff was so nice and service was quick. I would not suggest you go on balloon guy night unless you like the sound of screaming children. Thankfully my order was to-go and only had to tone out the horrible children for a few minutes. The store is clean with plenty of seating.

After watching a review on YouTube of places to eat in St. Louis must eats, we decided to eat here regardless of the bad reviews. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. Obviously the pizza isn 't what you 'd consider normal but it was pretty decent. We got a small cheese and a small all meat between me, my husband and our 1 year old and we weren 't stuffed but we we were pleasantly full. The worker was very friendly.

Ordered a whole Chef salad and it had a fork, crackers and dressing in with my salad! For one I threw it away cause I have no idea where the fork, cracker package and dressing container had been. Why do restaurants put packaged items on your food!!!! Health department needs to pay a visit to these places that throw stuff on your food!!! Not only is that contamination it took up space to get a half a salad for an increase in price of from $7.25 to $9.40. Won't be returning there forsure!

Imo's Pizza is a special place. I make a stop here every time I'm in the St. Louis area. Their famous Provel cheese is so damn good I'm drooling just thinking about it right now. The pizzas are very thin crust, crunchy, and booming with flavor! The more I write, the more I want one... Not sure why this location has frequent negative reviews; the service has always been fine for me. 5/5
