Bidrage med feedbackOnce again a really satisfying meal. The atmosphere is lovely. With all the loud vibrant places (and yell) , this is a great place to sip on wine and to linger with conversation. Also lovely decor with the Greek influences without it looking being tacky. Also in the summer it can be opened up which puts a breezy feeling to it. I went here with a girl friend before a show, We decide the best bang for our buck was the Athena Serves 2 Hummus, Greek salad, and fried cheese, followed by lamb chops, chicken skewers, and salmon with rice, lemon potato and vegetables. We also ordered the calamari because my friend loves it. and it was really well battered and light. Everything came out in a timely manner. The food was hit and miss. I think the stand outs were the Greek salad that was super fresh and had a zippy dressing to it. And the lamb chops which were juicy. Disappointments were the salmon which was was overcooked, the rice that was undercooked as well as the veggies. I couldn't even cut the carrots with my knife. All in though a great bang for your buck.
This lovely Greek restaurant is situated in the bustling area of Whyte Ave. It has been a longtime favorite and consistently delivers delicious dishes. Amy, our server, went above and beyond with her exceptional service. The lamb rack I ordered was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. While I typically prefer shank, this did not affect my overall rating of the restaurant.
I used to frequent this restaurant in the late 90s/early 2000s and always enjoyed it. Recently, I decided to revisit this old favorite when a friend couldn't join me for dinner on Whyte Ave. The restaurant looked just as I remembered, with its Greek-inspired decor. I arrived at 5 PM and was one of only two tables, so the service was exceptional. I ordered the Chicken Skewers, Tomato and Cheese Bake, and Saganaki cheese, all of which were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. I finished my meal with the Baklava, which did not disappoint. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I find myself on Whyte Ave again.
We have been here a few times and I am shocked I haven't reviewed before. The food here has always been awesome. The chicken, the salmon, the ribs, the souvlaki all great mains. The lemon potatos are awesome and so is the greek salad and veggies!! Had the flaming cheese, calamari and meat ball appies and they are yum. Wine and drink selections also great!! Parking is a pain to get though. It has a great greek ambience, however it is very loud when busy. The service has been hit and miss, sometimes amazing and a couple times not great. The price is actually really good for what you get. If you want good greek, hit it up!
Awesome saturday night fun! Came back for a very memorable dinner on a warm saturday night with great music and a greek belly dancer who got many patrons up and dancing along to the traditional music. So fun with all of us clapping to help encourage them on! I had the PAIDAKIA SKHARAS/GRILLED BABY LAMB CHOPS it was soooo good! It came with their famous lemon greek potatoes that are roasted along with fresh cooked vegetables-carrot and brocolli done al den·te/light crunch. For drinks a very refreshing ceasar cocktail and my guest had a gin martini, both mixed well and went down great with such tasty food. They also offer several drink specials like sangria and selected beers, their wine selection is also very good if that is what you are looking for while celebrating a memorable occasion or person. I have had their greek salad before, and the chicken soup is a must try. To help wrap up that special evening -remember to also check out their desert selection for a vareity of cakes, custard, ice cream and of course traditional BACLAVA. Good food selection with warm, fun atmosphere and a very clean restaurant with friendly staff. I was happy to see people out enjoying themselves and laughing (and dancing) worth a trip out for a taste of greek dining and culture-you will not be dissappointed!! I'll be back again soon-the space is great for close intimate dining, family and friend get togethers and making those special occations-memorable. The patio was open tonight and the fresh air with all the passers by who would stop to watch the dancing and fun music. OPA
