Viphalay - Edmonton

This is honestly my favorite Pad Thai in the city. Their dessert roti rolls are also very delicious and a must-try. My boyfriend tried the Hell's beef and he said it was really good (and spicy). We will definitely be returning.

The papaya salad was delicious. Pictured is the brown curry with fish and orange cashew chicken. Everything had great flavours! Can't wait to go back and try other things they have!

Very nice place, good service, with a standard Thai menu. The fish soup was amazing! Just homey, delicious, and perfectly balanced. The rest of our meal was good, but felt a little whitewashed: especially the use of chicken breast rather than more varied and more flavourful cuts of chicken. Not my favourite in Edmonton, but still pretty good!

The restaurant offers friendly service, affordable prices, and generous portions. You will not leave feeling hungry. It is a great hidden gem in downtown, although seating may be limited so it is recommended to call ahead on busy days.

I have been to Viphalay many times over the years. The food is consistently delicious and affordably priced. They serve the best coconut rice in the city, in my opinion. The service was a bit lacking during my last visit (the server was really abrupt), but it has been satisfactory on all other occasions. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning!
