Toyo Sushi - Edmonton

Went here to pick up a bento box for lunch. Service was friendly but food was awful. Ingredients were not fresh, way too much sesame oil in the beef teriyaki, food was cold, portion pretty small. I never write reviews, but I'm actually offended at how sub par this was for the price. I would have rather skipped lunch. Also, a fortune cookie? That's not authentic. Sad!

Got the 3 scoop protein poke bowl was heavily disappointed. although they followed the special instructions on the delivery app i left, the food would’ve tasted better homemade. the rice had no seasoning not even a sprinkle of furikake. the fish did not taste fresh or good quality, the beansprouts were soggy watered everything down. overall, i wouldn’t try this place again, which is disappointing since i really wanted to like it.

Ordered from skip the dishes food overall was great except everything was ice cold the sushi obviously will be that's fine but our gyoza and wontons were just so cold but tasted good ? will order again for sure ?

This place is delicious! The owners are super friendly and will take the time to tell you their speciality and how the menu works. It was honestly the best poke bowls (we had the raw spicy salmon) we’ve ever had! Their bowls and bento box are very good portions, loaded with fresh veggies and overall finger licking good. It’s a must try.

The sushi rice does not appear to be made by hand but more like a machine pressed rice then a piece of fish being placed on top. The nigiri rice and fish will fall apart. The fish varies in shape too. The rolls are cheaper than other restaurants but much smaller and less ingredients. Not very appealing. Price is cheap coz of the quality so I can't say it is good value. This is a place to get sushi with lots of rice to feed people.
