Bidrage med feedbackI came to the Three Amigos Jasper Ave location for my lunch break on a Saturday. The entire restaurant was empty minus one table of four and one server. The server told me to take a seat wherever and I chose a spot near the window. About 10 minutes went by as I waited patiently for my order to be taken. After another 5 minutes, a customer came in to place a takeout order and the server happily helped her, as I still sat waiting for (at least) my drink order to be taken. At this time, another group of three walked into the restaurant and were seated (drink order taken right away). I assume she realized that she had forgotten to take my drink order and came to my table shortly. I ordered both my drink and food (carne asada tacos) and told my server that I was on a time crunch, and she said that this was no problem.I patiently waited for my food for 30 minutes without my server coming back to ask if I needed anything, while she managed to make her way to the other two tables multiple times in this time frame. At this point I started to get really frustrated, not so much with the length I was waiting, but with the dismissive attitude of my server and her lack of consideration for my even being there. I felt invisible! When the food came out, I had five minutes to eat, and scarfed it down. The tacos were good, not great, but definitely satisfied the Mexican craving.I never write a review unless a restaurant is absolutely phenomenal or absolutely terrible, so this will tell you something.. Come here if you have lots of time, lots of patience and need to satisfy a Mexican craving, otherwise there are MANY other Mexican places in and around the city with phenomenal food and great service.
We came here to escape a quick thundershower and decided to try it. Service was quite slow, but food was tasty. The green sauce is HOT!!! I wish the food had a little more flavor though.
A friend and I came here before a night at the theatre. The nice part is we could walk here from the theatre so we only paid for parking once. The staff was lovely and we were seated right away. We had margaritas, pupupsas, and a main meal. From time of sitting to getting on our way was over an hour but we also didn't indicate we were in any rush. They probably would have let use just sit and talk for as long as we wanted. The pupusas had a lot of flavour with the pulled pork and cheese options. You could taste the corn flour and the sauce was more like a mild salsa. We shared some tacos by getting the chicken and pork pieces ones. They both had some decent cumin flavours. The shells were soft and fresh. The rice and refuted beans were plentiful for the dish. My friend asked for no refried beans but they came anyways. That was okay because I love them and just ate them for her at the end.
After the garth brooks concert we were looking for something to eat. We needed gluten free options and despite this place having a board up it said it was open and the menu showed gluten free options so we gave it a try. The place was packed which is always a good sign. We ordered some drinks and our food and when the waitress asked if we wanted chips while we waited we assumed they were complimentary. Not so…they were an extra $8 which I think when offered like that they should tell you they are an extra charge. We were starving and it was a wait for the food so we didn't mind but still. The drinks were cheap and the food was really delicious! If I lived in Edmonton I would definitely visit this place again!
If you want to take friends out for Mexican food and they're conservative in taste experiences, this is a good choice. The portions are on the smaller side but the prices are not - expect $15 - $17 an entre. My friend's Fish Tacos were a safe choice. My Shrimp Quesadilla was very average - again safe. Not a great business meeting site if you require a quiet atmosphere. However it was not screaming loud. The appetizer nachos and salsa was a nice touch. Very good service.
