Bidrage med feedbackAfter visiting the farmers market, we decided to have brunch at this restaurant. The family-run atmosphere sets this place apart. The sisters who own the restaurant were humorous, welcoming, and a pleasure to interact with. The food was excellent as well. I ordered the Monte Cristo and would definitely order it again. Our group also enjoyed the schnitzel. While the building may not look like much from the outside, it is definitely worth a visit.
I forgot to leave a review after dining at this restaurant in March, but it was really good. I'm not sure about the current quality since there are apparently new owners. Overall, our experience was great. We visited on a Saturday morning, were seated promptly, and our waitress was fantastic. She was great with the kids and informed us that there might be a delay in our orders. However, our food arrived quickly and was delicious. The schnitzel breakfast is a must-try, and even though I'm not a fan of ketchup, their homemade version was amazing. The kids enjoyed their meals, especially the pancakes with the smiley face and sprinkles, which caused a bit of a dispute. My only complaint is that the dining area was cramped and had a musty smell, and the prices were higher than expected. Despite these issues, I still think it's worth a visit, and I would definitely return.
We were shocked when Tasty's Tom's refused to serve us despite having five available tables, insisting they only cater to larger groups. The manager even asked us to leave when we inquired about other smaller groups being served. This disappointing experience was made worse by the declining quality and portion sizes of the food. It's unfortunate that a restaurant we had patronized for years would turn away potential customers in such a manner. Additionally, reading about similar negative experiences on social media, including a disturbing incident involving an infant, further solidifies our decision to stay away from Tasty's Tom's.
This place used to be such a great spot. I think the new owners are awful and likely going to drive it into the ground. The portions and quality have gone down significantly and I say this as someone who has gone consistently since 2015ish. I would have recommended it years ago, but sadly I as of 2023 will never be returning to this establishment after the rude, inconsiderate treatment I had the last time I tried to go. I went with my partner at around 11 a.m. on a Sunday. When we arrived, the restaurant was half empty. The woman at the counter told us You can sit at the bar. I 'm three months pregnant and was nauseous at the time and said that we 'd like a table. She rudely told us that they 'weren 't seating tables of two ' and I looked around the restaurant and there were multiple tables of two seated. When I asked why other twos were eating, she told me (rudely) that they wanted bigger groups for those tables. Why would a restaurant turn away business for a table that might hypothetically come??? I told her I had been a loyal customer for years and that it was ridiculous to be told we couldn 't have a table. She accused me of 'yelling ' (I am not a yeller) and told me to 'never come back. ' I left in tears. This place is awful and fully expect to be seeing the out of business sign soon, based on other recent reviews. What a mean spirited way of running a restaurant.
Cozy place for some good comforting breakfast food. I live nearby and had never been decided to stop for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! I'm also a vegetarian and they had lots of options. The staff were lovely, the food was great and like everyone already says good ketchup. The coffee wasn't my favourite but still, well worth a stop for a chill breakfast.Vegetarian options: a few good options for omelets and sandwiches!
