Smilie's Place - Edmonton

Been coming here on and off for over 15 years. I love.coming in on Saturday for my hangover Chinese buffet. I have never had a problem with the food. I.love the chicken balls and the steamed rice! It's your typical western style Chinese buffet. Delivery is also nice. Open late, food arrives fresh and warm. The owners are also super nice and go the extra.mile. we usually.get something extra put into our takeout bag by the owners. Love this place!

What you get is more than what you pay. I've been to many western-chinese places and smilies is by far the best food for the cheapest price. The staff is always friendly (at least whenever I'm there and the food is good. If it doesn't look fresh just ask them to switch it out and they will. Fav dishes are the szechuan beef and the salt pepper shrimp. Never ordered delivery but picked up some food recently. Got some discounts on my food : definitely my go-to comfort food place.

Teacher aid. I have been to Smilies for a while and just went there for a quick dinner. I was surprised that the restaurant looks so nice and food is fresh and very tasty. my favorite one was potato beef

Kinda like McDonald's. It's a typical western Chinese buffet lots of deep fried, sweet food. As far as that style goes, the food is better than most. It's not an Asian culinary experience, but a western one.<br/ <br/ Having said that, they charge too much for a child's buffet. They charged us the same for a child's buffet as an adult's. We didn't appreciate that, and don't plan to be back. There are many restaurants of this style of in this city and we can find one with pricing that is reasonable.

Ordered food before close, good results. I ordered food online right before the deadline to (9:55) on the website. I wasn't expecting much, ordering food late on a weeknight, but I received a confirmation call within 5 minutes of placing my order. Food was here about 20 minutes later (l live past 160 ave on the north end). Large portions, tasty fried rice. They also threw in a sweet and sour beef type of food for free (likely cause they were about to close). <br/ <br/ Speedy delivery, nice guy, decent food.<br/ <br/ Surpassed expectaions, and would definitely order again!
