Bidrage med feedbackI had ramen for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. It was spectacular and I can't wait to have it again!
Awesome place! Great flavours, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Definitely coming back!
The veggie ramen is AMAZING. The flavour profile of the broth is so complex and the whole combo of veggies is to die for. BEST RAMEN IN THE CITY!!
Friendly greeting by a very nice looking gent Offered a seat and a beverage promptly. Lavatories are clean and well kept. Now I wait for the noms.. Update tbp..
Was looking forward to trying this ramen place and I wasnt disappointed! Minimalistic decor, a line up for the limited seating and a delicious savory scent greets you at the door. I think they were short staffed tonight, but the staff still endeavored to check on tables with a smile. We ordered all 3 available appetizers (there was more on the online menu but I think they streamlined it down since , and bowls of tonkatsu and tonkatsu black garlic ramen.<br/ <br/ We also tried a guava beer- sapporo beer sweetened slightly with a hint of guava juice. Would have preferred a stronger taste of guava, but refreshing none the less.<br/ <br/ The ramens came out before the appetizers but we were hungry and just dug in. The tonkatsu broth is rich, fatty and delectable. The tonkatsu with black garlic is just pure happiness in a bowl. Paired with toothsome ramen noodles that had a great chew without being too chewy or hard, and housemade pickled onions, green onions, roasted nori, crunchy bamboo shoots, creamy soft boiled egg and thi but satisfying pieces of lean pork shoulder, fatty pork belly and a piece of bacon (yup bacon! , Nudoru's take on the traditional bowl of tonkatsu ramen hits it out of the park.<br/ <br/ The octopus fritters was an interesting mass up of corn fritters with takoyaki balls. The sauces were tasty, as was the corn fritter that had bits of corn and octopus, but I'm still a bigger fan of traditional takoyaki. The seafood okonomiyaki or japanese pancake was nicely executed with this version being on the creamier side on the interior, but dont expect it to be crispy on the exterior. The gyoza made with Irving Farm Berkshire pork, asian cabbage and turnip were nicely pan fried to a golden brown, and had a hint of sweetness to the pork. I didnt love the black vinegar soy dipping sauce, as there was a strong taste of beer that lent a note of bitterness to it (not sure if that was intentional or if some beer was accidentally spilled .<br/ <br/ Overall, Nudoru definitely takes the reins as overall best ramen in yeg, and well worth the wait in line. I may go for delivery next time to beat the line ups and slurp ramen in the comfort of home and my pjs.
