Namaste India Restaurant & Cafe

We ordered two different types of naan, but they tasted very similar with no distinct flavors. Both the lamb and chicken dishes we ordered had tough, chewy meat. There was supposed to be paid parking in front of the restaurant, but it was impossible to find a spot. The restaurant is located in a sketchy area of the city known for heavy drug activity on the streets.

We were excited to be guided through a wonderful experience of Indian cuisine, from delicious fish pakora to a gentle nudge to try something new. The flavors brought back memories of life near the Himalayas. You won't be disappointed.

The food and service staff at this restaurant are amazing! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I am thrilled to have a new local restaurant in the area!

Excellent service food. Very different from other Indian dishes with a spicy lot of dishes. I'm not a big fan of Curries, but all 5 dishes we had were very delicious. The best Indian food I ever have was the best food for a very long time.

An amazing hidden new Gem in Castledowns, Namaste India. I typically don’t submit reviews, but I was so impressed with the entire experience. Even though I did take away the staff was so helpful, welcomed me, explained the dish and ensured the spicing was acceptable...to someone who cannot handle hot spicing. Oh my gosh the Lamb Lababdar ….. The sauce was so silky, spicing was incredible, the lamb melted in our mouths with each taste. The spicing did a wonderful pleasurable happy joy joy dance on the palate while the lamb melted with taste . The naan bread, oh my. So light, not greasy and so complemented our choice and the palate dance. I will definitely visit Namaste Castledowns again but importantly proudly supporting a new local business.
