Holiday Inn Express Suites Edmonton South, An Ihg

I stay here for a week at a time regularly for business. Always my first choice. The front desk people are always so cheerful and make me feel like they are truly happy to see me every time I go there. Housekeeping staff are fantastic. Love this hotel!Noteworthy details: Amazing breakfast included!

Long one, but there's a reason for the low rating. The rooms were nice and clean. The location is fantastic. But the service is at most 0 stars. This isn't directed to the staff. The staff were nice, understanding, and friendly. But this is directed to the manager of the place.We paid for a room and didn't get back to it till 12am. Exhausted from the long trip and the event that we attended, we just wanted to get back to the room and sleep. After getting ready for bed, my 76 year old father goes to lay down only to find out that his mattress was almost non-existent. One side stayed up, but the other side sank. It was late, and we didn't want to get dressed, pack all of our stuff up to move to another room, so he put a bunch of pillows underneath, and it was good enough for the night. In the morning, we called for a manager to show the mattress and even showed the other bed had the same issue on one side. No understanding or wanting to listen he immediately got upset and said we were at fault. When we were trying to leave, he claimed that he would take pictures and put the blame on us. We left the room with our stuff only for him to jump my dad in the hallway. Yeah, the manager of this establishment attacked a 76 year old man and then tried to claim it was him who attacked first. There is no excuse for this behavior. Something needs to be done.

The staff here are exceptional, and the genuine care they have for their guests radiates through this hotel. We loved the breakfast buffet, had fun and relaxed in the pool, and our room was clean and well stocked. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and very professional, and there was a really kind and helpful lady working at breakfast who saw we had our hands full and led our daughter by the hand to help her get an apple juice. We were dealing with a stressful situation while we were there and the staff here were so kind. Thank you so very much for all your help during our stay!Rooms: Clean, well stocked, plenty of information about what's nearby and what services are available, and thoughtfully placed signs about if you've forgotten a toothbrush or something they can help.Food drinks: The free breakfast is a huge spread my picky eater of a son ate more breakfast than he usually eats in a whole week. There is just so much to choose from!

Excellent location, very convenient just across the bridge from airport. 2 mins drive from a huge outlet mall. Staff was extremely polite and friendly. We had a senior traveling with us who got sick. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and also extended our checkout time. Special shout out to Ms. Lovepreet for her great customer service. Will definitely come back and stay here. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay and especially economical. Will be making it a always stop any time we're in Edmonton. Had everything we needed. AC worked well. Hot breakfast and comfy beds.
