Bidrage med feedbackOur first impression upon entering the restaurant immediately put a smile on our faces. The place was impressive and we felt very comfortable. The staff were friendly and nice. The downside was that the restaurant has large rooms available for private parties near the main entrance, and most tables are within earshot of these rooms. This can affect the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, during our visit, a young child at one of the private parties was very upset and screamed continuously for about fifteen minutes, ruining our dinner. The screaming was so loud and piercing that it dominated the entire restaurant and hurt our eardrums. A suggestion for future diners would be to request a table far away from any noisy private parties.
I decided to give this restaurant a second chance after a disappointing experience a few years ago. Under new management (formerly Urban China), the improvement is evident. It was a great meal. The shrimp dim sum dishes were filled with plump, fresh shrimp, a nice change from the usual frozen ones. The Sui Mai had a fresh ground pork flavor. The curried squid was tender and not overly fishy. The egg tarts were warm and delicious. I am excited to return and try the Szechuan dishes on the house menu, which offers a variety of dishes from all parts of China.
Friendly staff, very nice and bright place and the food is delicious loved the lobster
Since we had a good experience the first time, we went back for another dinner. The service was good the first time and the second time there were too many staff for the number of tables. The wait staff seemed to hover over us at times, waiting to swoop down to take any plates. They can also make suggestions for what to order which can be good if you have no idea, or bad if they want to upsell you. The food wasn't as good this time. The chicken was too oily and pork dish too small and saucy, but the duck wraps were good.
