Then to be served a pint of West in a warm glass, spoiled the experience. Wine, Sauvignon Blanc was from Chile and very poor. This place has gone downhill so much in the last few years it is hard to believe!
Just wanted one drink, no table available- ALL booked for food though there was plenty empty when we looked around! Told we could stand at bar. Ignored by bar staff then asked to move along a bit. We just left. How hard is it to just have one drink? Are all patrons expected to eat in order to be welcomed? Was better years ago when it was The Rutland
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant twice during my anniversary trip, and I must say that the attentive service and the quality of food were nothing short of exceptional. I honestly can't find a single fault in either the staff or the food. The consistent level of excellence over two visits during our anniversary trip was impressive. It's no wonder we returned for a second time. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone.
We popped into the huxley when we was waiting in our room at the rutland being ready and so glad we did as soon as we walked in we was greeted by bobbie her bubbly personality made us feel so welcome food was lovely she then said she would be in the morning and would see us at breakfast and she was so bubbly again our breakfast was included in our stay which we didn't realise so that was a lovely surprise we are so happy we went in as from the minute we arrived to the minute we left the experience was great thank you so much to the staff here and especially bobbie
We came across here looking for breakfast that served haggis so got a Scottish breakfast. The breakfast was nice, typical breakfast, nothing spectacular but tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We returned later that day for a few drinks, the Halloween special cocktail was delicious and so was the spicy margaritas! Slightly on the pricer side but probably expected for a city.
