Really lovely food and staff. The portions are large and tasty. We stayed at the hotel and looked forward to breakfast and dinner each day.

Great old manor. We were there yesterday, December, so it was also beautifullly decorated. We had a wonderful long lunch alone in a room. Don’t go if you like minimalistic decor, otherwise it is very enjoyable. Food is good and people are extremely nice.

We received a warm welcome on our arrival. Covid checks were done by way of temperature checks and we were shown to our table. We were told that due to social distancing that all the dining areas were open and we were in the original dining room. The food was excellent, however, we were let down by the handling of our red wine order. It took a long time before our order was taken. Half way through our main course I chased up the wine order to be told that the bottle we had chosen was not available. We were provided with a complimentary glass or red each (and topped up) with an apology, but the delay stopped it being the five star experience that we were expecting.

Where should I start? So a beautiful place, it feels that you are transported back in the time when the dinner settings were more romantic. The food itself was wonderful that I even went back twice in the same week. The staff is attentive and really friendly! One of my favorite restaurants in the UK would definitely go back. Although the environment is more for two people, as it is romantic, I would say that you do not steer when you are alone. You can be in a romantic environment by yourself and enjoy a proper meal.

Also our waiter, very attentive and polite, my glass of champagne has been delayed so that he apologizes and it was a treat to the house, very nice gesture for this not to be a problem at all: . Eating was absolutely excellent, great wine selection, the interior is divine. Her cat Raven was there when we were gone, that was a nice surprise. Can't wait to be back
