The best pub in Edinburgh, good food, vast drinks menu, cocktails great and too top it all awesome friendly staff, and dog friendly.

Went in for a bite to eat at lunchtime. Great, friendly service. Was recommended to try a venison moussaka special and it was to die for. Tasty, rustic dish for a cold, Winter's day. Bonus, the prices are very reasonable.

Living near by, the location is very convenient, however what sets The Other Place apart is a heady blend of attentive and warm service, delicious and very consistent food, and a jaw dropping selection of beers from around the world. Today's visit was to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday, and she has had a lovely time! The roast of pork fillet, roast and mashed potato, creamed spinach and mushrooms was so tasty... If you're reading this in the next couple of hours (05/03/17 13.05), I can't recommend it enough, pop down and treat yourself Thanks to all at The Other Place, another triumph
