Bidrage med feedbackAbsolutely big fan of Maki Ramen. I come to this Maki Ramen on Leith Street. Not only because I love crazy their rams, but also because they have amazing service here. Staff treat you like a friend and they are very attentive service wise. Favourite two rams are STEAK TATAKI RAMEN and HELL RAMEN. They're both sharp, but the Eh are good. Steak Ramen has coconut cream in it, which gives it a somewhat more refreshing taste and less spicy than light ramen, but if you are a little creamy, hearty and full of umami of pig bones, go for hell ramen!! Pumpkin croquettes, pork gyoza and spicy teriyaki chicken are all heavens, they are totally my go-to options for pages. Too bad I don't have such a big appetite, otherwise I will order all three at once. (But I guess this is better for my wallet) Note that this restaurant does not make reservations, nor do they sushi so if you are in this part of the city and want sushi, go to SJQ, another nice branch of her, although I vibe more with Leith Street. Sometimes they might be super busy, so if you want to visit, come in advance.
Appropriate prices. Fast and friendly service. Delicious Japanese cuisine. What else could you ask for? If you like Japanese food, you try to be worth your time!
OK, so this is seriously good Ramen, veggie and vegan options too. The Seaweed Salad is the hidden gem and even the Tempura is good (so often it's too heavy and oily this was just right . Staff the perfect blend of friendly and not intrusive (which is so important when you are dining solo! Highly recommend. Oh! and reasonable too!
Taste is great, but disappointed in portions. Never seen a sushi roll this slim and TINY in my life. On the picture they look MASSIVE. Ramen only takes half of the big bowl, small in portions. Very different from the menu.
Very delicious food and quick service, about 5 min to prepare the order! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We tried the first dish (noodles) on the menu, and chicken teriyaki (with rice), both are very delicious, please see pictures. It's a bit expensive though, just over a tenner for a dish, but definitely worth it!
