Bidrage med feedbackHaven't not been here for about 10yrs. I have to say it's not changed much. The food is still just as good, and value for money. Fresh seafood and friendly staff. One of the original Italian restaurants still trading. Easy to book a table able a few nights a head using their website.
Was recommended to eat here by a local, it didn't disappoint. This is a traditional Italian, you can tell it's the kind of place that has been in the family for years, long standing chefs and very welcoming staff. The restaurant is spacious, plenty of space around tables. The menu is classic, i opted for spaghetti meatballs, all homemade, it was delicious. Washed down with a nice glass of chianti. I noticed gluten free options were available if needed. Located opposite the Playhouse and just behind the new St James Quarter shopping centre.
Tried the fish and chips, fried hamburger and fried sausage. Unfortunately it was all so greasy it was really not edible. We have since heard from locals you should never go to a “chippy” before 4pm in order to make sure the oil is fresh snd hot. Lesson learned. Visited on a Friday afternoon.
Ordered for delivery today lasagne cold, lacked meat and mostly sauce. Garlic bread was floppy and fries looked like they had been cooked with a hair dryer, cold and crunchy from being raw.
Love eat here. Friendly and good food, always consistent. Look forward to the next time. Recommended for everyone. I've been eating here for about 30 years
