Bidrage med feedbackLad who served us (Sam) was brilliant and really made us welcome. Amazing food and amazing value for money considering the quality of steak.
Very disappointing. Restaurant was freezing cold we had jackets and coats on during the whole meal Food cold and unappetising. Cutlery dirty and general grime all round. Price very reflective of standard.
This place was tucked away down a side street, and we hesitated outside, but we were so glad we went in. The Wonderful staff, were very polite and attentive. They very thoughtfully made an off menu item that my partner could eat, to accommodate his allergies, and made sure to check about cross contamination. The food was excellent, one of the best burgers I've ever had, and the best I've had in Edinburgh! A cosy little place, we will definitely go again to sample the locally sourced and excellently prepared food. The chips were amazing, as well. Our only regret is not having desert!
We have hosted a couple of events at the NYSP in the past month and both times were great. Ewan was very accommodating, moving tables around to fit everyone in and staying open a bit later to accommodate our schedule. The food, music, and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for, and we had a fantastic evening. Despite its central location, the Steam Packet has a hidden gem feel to it, tucked away from Rose Street. Many people in Edinburgh don't even know it exists, making it easy to miss, but this only adds to the charm when you finally discover the mysterious door and climb the spiral staircase. We loved it and will definitely be returning again!
This restaurant has maintained its charm over the years, making it a special place to visit. While it may not be fancy, it has a welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially considering its location in the city center. I will definitely be returning soon.
