Bidrage med feedbackLocated near Edgecliff station, this restaurant offers a BYO wine option, with two stationary bottles available for purchase. The menu is very clear and includes pictures, and the staff is friendly. However, we found the white rice to be too hard and the portion sizes for the box meal and stir-fried vegetables to be small. The drinks were also pricey for the amount provided, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. While there are Japanese dishes on the menu, as Japanese customers ourselves, we felt that the quality fell short of true Japanese standards.
The spacious Japanese restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the food was expertly prepared and presented. However, the lack of nearby parking made it challenging to dine there, even though it was a favorite spot.
Makizo is a favorite spot in my neighborhood. It's a great place for a quick meal or a night out.
We eat here often and eating is always freshly excellent and authentic japaner, in which must be as it is very small, but if they go early always get a table
All the dishes are made with utmost care and attention totally delicious, from the sushi sashimi through to the calamari or karaage. Definitely great value and I highly recommend the Samurai sake to wash it all down!
