I asked where our order was and got a confused look. she found our order, which was completely spied, apologised and then returned to her to the tear-off orders before her. Finally, our coffee got 25 min after the order. that food came out, but not as ordered. the personal was apologetic, but completely undertrained. $27.50 away overpriced for average eating and bad service. I thought we'd try this place because it's under new management and new name. ordered fish and chips lunch special. chips were nicely cooked, but the fish was soggy and there were many uncooked flourbatters. filz excessively fat. service was fast and friendly.
From the crowd at entrance, one can tell this Hong Kong cafe is popular in Eastwood. Queuing for seat is common at anytime despite the cafe is not small in local standard. The best value dishes are breakfast and high tea sets which include drink for the price of the dish ordered. Only between 12noon to 2:30pm, you have to order from the menu for regular price.Service was above average and order was fast to deliver. A good cafe for Hong Kong style dishes.
Bad services, food tasteless, bad attitude,my chicken meal was 25 minutes late, my son got the wrong dish and cash only. Never again
I returned to this place for lunch today, first time in a year or so. Well, this place has gone downhill considerably. I ordered a bowl of fish congee. While the rice porridge was piping hot, the fish meat in large chunks was "just taken out of the fridge" cold and it didn't taste very fresh. Left quickly. This used to be a value for money place with settings better than a typical Chinese restaurant. It's now just cheap and nasty. On the way out I saw sign posted at the entrance. The restaurant is looking for two chefs. That says a lot...
