Bidrage med feedbackLoved this picturesque place... The lobster bisque, lobster roll, oysters were great...The service was great, and large long islands. In any case, you recommend if you are around the Hartfield area..
Had a desire for fresh seafood and Maine Fish Market was the first place I thought in Northern CT. We went on Sunday noon and it was very busy. The NE Clam Chowdah was very tastefully thick creamy. Whole belly mussel was golden brown and tasty. On this day the mussels were on the smaller side, so the belly beak did not taste as much Briney as I would have liked. With fresh seafood arriving daily, the next shipment could have been different. Our server and the others were thrilled to wait their tables. Seems they might be short employees, but the servers have done it and still you feel welcome.
Solid spot fresh seafood, although quite impressed by the sound me?m! Oyster fantastic, steamers were real steamers and delicious, both the hot and cold lobster rolls were delicious and absolutely massive! Very recommended!
I really had high hopes for this place, as everyone catches how good they are. I would put them in the category of slightly frozen foods. Each meal comes with 2 page options. The first is either rice, French fries or baked potatoes, which are fryed pumice. The second option is Cole Slav, chefs choice of vegetables or pasta salad the vegetables are FROZEN!! Look at the pictures!!! In addition to the page options you will get a selection of soup or salad. Wait, the staff just asks soup or salad? As it turns out, the soup is Clam Chowder. It's not bad, but nothing spectacular. The salad is something from a second diner. Soup or salad is served first. In addition, they deliver bread to the table. The most important courses are a variety of seafood options that are basically broiled, buttered or fried. The bruised plates we got were dry check-out the pictures and you can just say they are dry. The fried options were fine, but honestly not much better than buying a bag frozen me. The coconut yarn is served with a side of Ken's sweet and acidic sauce, so they can't even make their own sauces. Basically, this is a frozen restaurant serving gigantic plates of food and each takes remains home. Go to your local butcher or fish market and buy what you frozen and heat it in your oven say at home and you save a ton of money and get the same quality.
This place has a ramp for wheelchair. If you are trying to have a romantic dinner this is not the place to go to other customers are standing right next to the table trying to figure out to pay for the food then after that there?s kids running back and forward around your table. The appetizers platter the only 2 things that was really good was the onion rings and jalapeños poppers. The liquor drinks are really good. The dinner plate pricey and not everything has flavor like the steak needed flavor and they didn?t cook it the way i asked for it very disappointing the thing that saved the dish was the stuffed lobster and coleslaw yum.
