Bidrage med feedbackMy party of 4 adults decided to stop here for an early dinner this past Friday. Three of us are from the area and have been here before, this was my first visit. The place is very large with many small dinning areas and a bar area. There didn't seem to be many people but it was early. A waitress came over very quickly to ask for drink orders. There were quite a few specials and covered the gamut from Italian to seafood to beef choices Some of appetizers seemed very interesting but since we weren't that hungry decided to just get salads, I had a house salad which consisted of field greens, tomato, onion, carrot with some croutons. It was good if not anything out of the ordinary. One of our party had the cesare salad with was also good. Our dinners were, the Rib/Shrimp combo, Penne Ala Vodka, chicken marsala and chicken francaise All the portions were very generous. I had the chicken marsala which somewhat oddly was served over fettuccini. It was tasty with lots of fresh mushrooms in a light tomato/brown gravy. I tried the chicken francaise which was also served over pasta, it was tasty. The other two diners said they enjoyed their dinners and must have since there was no leftovers! We didn't have dessert so I can't comment on that. All in all it was nice place for dinner, casual, well made food with generous portions and reasonable prices for what you were getting. I see why my friends have been there several times and I would certainly go back
Wonderful casual Italian steakhouse restaurant in the Poconos! Had an excellent experience all around delicious food, great service, and cute, homey ambiance. The portions were huge and the prices were reasonable. We came hungry, ordered a lot, and still had some leftovers! We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and buffalo wings as an appetizer. I got the prime rib and shrimp combo as my main dish and my boyfriend got the chicken parmesan over penne marinara. Everything was well prepared and we both enjoyed everything we ordered. The restaurant itself is huge and gives off a country/mountain/farmhouse feel. One end of the restaurant is a bar area that looks fun. I'd definitely come back to check out the happy hour. I highly recommend checking Big A out if you're in the area. Will definitely be back!
Was buying a car up the road today and my son decided that we should take a chance on the place for lunch given mixed reviews. For lunch today. Service was attentive, food arrived in a very reasonable amount of time and was hot. Nothing crazy, I got a burger. Fries were hot and crispy, burger was very good and done properly. My son got the sausage stuffed mushrooms which we shared and were very good and he also got the French Onion soup which was also good.
I attended a daytime celebration event at this venue , the ambiance was nice, I was able to observe the other dining rooms, they had a rustic country feel, cozy and welcoming. We did not have food off the menu but we did have a Italian style buffet for our event, the food was delicious and plentiful. Many of the guest did have to go to the bar if they wanted any alcoholic drinks. Definitely would recommend this venue if you want to have a sit down celebration.
Excellent place to stop for lunch this past Tuesday on our drive from New York back to our home in Virginia. The food was outstanding, and our server Paul was very attentive and customer service oriented. It was a very pleasant dining experience. We'll definitely stop again when traveling back to New York.
