Mario's - East Staffordshire

This restaurant is a hidden gem located right in Uttoxeter. It is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. From start to finish, I could not find a single fault. The food was excellent, the drinks were excellent, and the service was excellent. The prices were also excellent. I will definitely be returning. Well done to the staff at this restaurant.

Mario's cafe is an amazing place to go out with friends and enjoy really delicious food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Beef Medallions are exceptional and melt in your mouth, especially when paired with the heavenly blue cheese sauce or pepper sauce. Our friends tried the Chicken dishes and were blown away by how good they were. The variety of starters is impressive and the gelato selection for dessert is fantastic. Alternatively, you can try the outstanding tiramisu, which is light as a feather. We arrived at 8pm and stayed until closing at 10:30pm, but we could have easily stayed longer because of the comfortable and friendly vibe. Thank you for a wonderful evening at Mario's cafe.

The restaurant, Mario's, located just a few steps away from our B&B, was impeccably clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive without being intrusive. The menu was quite extensive, offering alternatives for those who aren't fans of pasta. Our starters and mains arrived hot and were absolutely delicious. A variety of drinks were available, including red, white, and rose wines, house wines, Italian beers, and liqueurs. The only minor complaint was the limited selection of bottled wines. Overall, our evening at Mario's was enjoyable, and I would highly recommend it for its excellent food, friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Just be sure to book in advance, as it is a popular spot.

Returned to this really great little Italian Restaurant and it certainly didn’t disappoint, a nice relaxed atmosphere, good food and drinks menu all very reasonably priced, the quality of the food was excellent all round, all delivered with great customer focussed service on what is a family run business who deserve every credit for running a really great place to dine, will return again.

This was the third time we've eaten at Mario's in two years, and we thoroughly enjoy our meals there. Lovely friendly service, excellent food (and plenty of it..I can rarely finish it off! and great house wine. We took my 87yr old Aunt, her son and his wife with us last Saturday and they felt exactly the same as us. All at very reasonable prices too. We're so glad it's close to us !
