Bidrage med feedbackThe cafe is a cozy and inviting place with friendly staff. They offer delicious tea and coffee, but the cakes were a bit too sweet for our liking. Unfortunately, the paninis were disappointing with very little filling. It would be nice if they could offer more nutritious options like soups, salads, and cheeses on better quality breads like rye or sourdough. Overall, we hope they consider expanding their menu for a better dining experience.
One of my favourite local places to visit while out walking. Lovely to sit outside even in the October sunshine, enjoying a decent coffee.
Always reliable and offering a limited range of high quality food and drinks with helpful staff. Set in attractive grounds with walking and cycling available.
This cafe is within the grounds of Kilnwick Percy Hall, a statley home which is now a Buddhist Centre for Meditation. The grounds and surrounding countryside are beautiful. Visited the Peace Cafe and to be fair the location is hard to beat sitting in the conservatory, however we ordered tea for two and they gave us one small teapot with one measly teabag between two people, we asked for some hot water which was given but at £5 for the tea felt like we had been mugged, the cake was OK but the panini, also a fiver was light on filling and not value for money, a shame but we won't be going again. Just missed the free meditation session, probably have felt better if I'd had that.
I should have spoken up about this, I need to be more assertive! We were charged £5 for a small teapot with only one teabag for two people. I didn't realize there was only one teabag until after I added one of my own from my handbag. The £5 panini was lacking in filling and came with only a few crisps. The flapjacks, priced at £2.50 each, were thankfully tasty. The restaurant had a beautiful setting, but overall it was a rip off. For better value, go to Morrisons cafe instead.
