The Cafe At Park Rose

Call there this week , got 2 jacket potatoes they were the size of a golf ball, I had cheese n beans the cheese was plastic grated cheese didn’t melt, the chilli was ok , the cheese sarni again plastic cheese didn’t hold in the bread, and the chip were ok but the oil could of done with changing , £30 with 3 drinks included, no wounder it was empty !

The food is mediocre and the prices could be more affordable. The customer service is lacking and there were only a few customers in the restaurant on the day we visited.

Popped in for lunch after we’d been to the bird and animal park next doors which was great. Only one member of staff at the counter so service was very slow. They told us food would be 30 to 40 minutes but it took 1 hour 15 minutes and when it came out the bacon butty was burned to a crisp, the omelette was swimming in a pool of oil and the jacket potato with cheese and cold slaw had virtually no cheese and was cold.

I had an omelette at the café today and it was absolutely revolting. It was drenched in grease and burnt to the point where it was completely inedible.

Thought we’d get a bite to eat after animal park but instant regret. Staff were young which I have nothing against , but all were clueless. Took ages to take an order and when we eventually sat down , a young lady bought us food what wasn’t ours and was ademant it was , and was walking round like a headless chicken trying to find who’s it was. Beef lasagne has veggies in like courgette and barely any meat , was disgusting and expensive to say they clearly tried to bulk it up with veggies and no meat. Full English had dry bacon and cheap sausages and omelette was burnt and was nothing special . Schmoo milkshakes aren’t the proper ones, milk mixed with choc powder and half filled cup , rip off and took 15 mins to bring to me when all you have to do is mix it . Will not go here again
