Bidrage med feedbackSome dear friends from Nottingham were visiting us for the day, so we booked into La Piazza for 6pm on a Tuesday evening. I was a little sceptical because some of the previous reviews were very bad, mentioning rude staff and poor food. My worries were completely unfounded. For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was bustling a steady steam of restaurant customers, lots of takeaway customers, and we saw a delivery driver taking orders out for local delivery. We were hosted by the co owner, a delightfully friendly and bubbly young lady from Greece, who really couldn’t do enough for us. The food was immaculate. We each had a different main course, and two of us had dessert, and the food was gorgeous. Very tasty, well presented, and large portion sizes arrived at the table piping hot. We all really enjoyed our meal. A special mention from me for my dessert, the tiramisu. Please see the photo it was a huge portion, incredibly tasty, pure bliss on a plate! This was our first visit to La Piazza, but it certainly won’t be our last.
We chose to eat here because we fancied Italian food and recent reviews here were very good. On a Damp and miserable Tuesday evening in February we (a group of four adults) thought we may be the only ones eating in but there were quite a few covers and the foot fall for takeaways seemed fairly busy too. (Always a good sign). We each had a different main, desert and coffee. Everything was excellent and very tasty. The food seemed freshly cooked to order and was served nice and hot. The restaurant has a nice rustic atmosphere with the kitchen activity visible to the main eating area. We were warmly greeted by the owner. A nice lady from Greece who runs it with her husband. She also served us at the table with a very friendly manner. They have only recently taken over the business so one can only assume that old reviews aren’t really relevant to the current ownership. If our excellent experience can be maintained during busy times and in high season then I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
The food is unbelievable here, so fresh and worth the money, the staff are warm and pleasant and I would 100% recommend coming here if you're in the area The steaks are standout and the pastas are beautiful
Went here for a what I thought would be a lovely family meal but turned out to be £50+ worth of bland food. We were served first by a blonde lady who couldn't be more rude if she tried. Later served by a gentleman who couldn't do enough for us. We weren't even offered a dessert menu when we asked the lady for the bill. Not worth the hype. Never again.
Lovely evening. Food was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Good gluten free choices. Very reasonable prices.
