Bidrage med feedbackThe place is really lovely and the building is quirky so on first impressions, a great start. The food looked amazing and the home made cake selection was off the chart good. What made this experience less than amazing was the service was so cold and impersonal. I was ignored firstly by no less than 4 people, when someone eventually asked if they could help, I said I wanted to order and she pointed to the till down at the end hidden by 2 large guys ordering and told me to order there and off she went. I ordered and no smiles, not pleasantries. I then orders cakes to takeaway and again, nothing. I tried to engage in a smile and chat but nothing. My takeaway sandwich was ready on the pass and ignored until eventually, the girl on the till brought it to me. She passed it to me with no words, no thank you and no smiles. In my experience, when so many people are void of pleasant customer service it tells me this isn’t a fun and happy place to work. Owners take a look at your working culture and instil some fun into it!
Wow!!! This restaurant is a wonderful place to dine. I ordered a chicken burger with chips and salad, and the chips were absolutely amazing - the best I've ever had. I hope they never change them. They also had a variety of delicious cakes and freshly baked bread. My daughter tried a homemade sausage roll and raved about how tasty the pastry was. My partner had a BLT and couldn't stop talking about how superb the bacon was. We will definitely be back here again soon.
Reasonably priced with a fairly standard menu: all-day breakfast, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, for example. The jacket potatoes were good but the salad garnish was meagre(mostly leaves) and tossed in balsamic dressing: not to everyone's taste. The service was friendly but slow and not particularly proactive.
Enjoyed their club sandwich however found the place very cold and overpriced for what you get. Service was average nothing special
I discovered this place by accident, though quickly became a regular for lunch. The food is usually very good, with some great salads and home made cakes. The problem with this place though is the availability of menu items. They did a great salad deal with three items for approximately £8, with food like curried chickpeas, garlic mushrooms and tomato and mozzarella salads to choose from. The issue is that they don't have these on every time, limiting the choice available. Baguettes and foccacia sandwiches were great, but they take so long to make them even when they're not that busy, and service can be slow even getting to the point where you're waiting for it to cook. 20+ minutes for a homemade soup seemed an excessive wait and up to fifteen minutes for them to heat a pre-prepared foccacia with chicken, salad and barbecue sauce (really nice from here). Went to have lunch here again in March 2015 and all of the Knead Food signs have gone and all of the previous waiting staff were missing. The menu and cakes all seem to be there still however, so not sure if they have just taken over or if the menu will change completely.
