Bidrage med feedbackCame here for karaoke. The bartenders are not exactly subtle about prioritizing others over you. It doesn 't matter if you waited a while for them to notice you and take your drink order. Other patrons will cut you in line, not because they 're trying to, but because the bartenders will ignore you and talk to someone else who arrived after you. They have selective vision, it seems. I asked the Regulars about this and they confirmed it is very much a thing here. So much so, that some people will give their drink orders to a person who will make the drink order on their behalf they choose a person they know the bartender will actually pay attention to. Haven 't tried the food and was honestly afraid to order anything else after the ordeal of getting a mere drink.
Our drinks were good but the vibe was off. As an outsiders, we felt everyone’s gaze on us the entire 2 hours. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Not a fan. It was fairly empty on a Thursday night too. If you’re from the Providence area, just stick to Provi bars. They are much better. You’ll never have people staring out you because you aren’t a local. So weird.
The atmosphere is very breath taking and welcoming, for entertainment Earl is a solo vibrant grab your soul and heart singer. Heart stopping vocals. The owner is down to earth and very outgoing .Stop in you won't be dissatisfied.
The food is amazing and not at all average. You have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and try Lowkey's twist on classics. The atmosphere is like a club in the middle of a city on Fridays and Saturdays, but don't expect it to get crazy until after 10:30. The crowd ranges from guys and gals having their 21st birthday parties (last night lol) to 30-40+ year olds looking to have a fun night out dancing, drinking, and eating. The staff is an awesome rag tag group of friends who like to have as much fun as the patrons. Just try and stay relaxed if you have to wait a little bit for a drink or a meal especially if it's a busy night cause the staff may be amazing, but they are few. And lastly if you're looking to throw a little surprise party for a friend or significant other, they are more than happy to set something up for you! I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday and they went all out! The main Chef Bill made her this amazing cake and a charcuterie board with an unbelievable selection of meats, cheese, and crackers. So seriously check this place out!!!!
Low Key has such marvelous potential, and while my husband, his family, myself really tried to love it it is not quite there yet. To keep it short sweet: Note that the menu on their website does not accurately reflect their current dishes. The bartender/server was very polite and high energy with delectable mixology skills. Every single cocktail was delicious and well crafted and thought out. Atmosphere was a cross between a LED neon night club, urban oasis of tropical and moss creations, and, somehow, your in law 's fire place hearth living room. It was definitely bewildering and frigid inside, yet somehow welcoming. The food came out in sporadic waves; sliders, bruschetta, housemade pickles, 3 tacos, and then 2 orders of pierogis (subsequently and respectively in that order. While everything was served warm, the timing was less than favorable for solid C+ food. It took about 20 minutes before we received our first dish, and an overall dining time of 90 minutes for only small plates. The meat was very minute on the sliders and tacos, while the pierogis were hands down the best. We were the only party and table in the facility until 15 minutes before we left. Frankly, it felt like the kitchen had no urgency and or they only had one staff member. (I guess Low Key is a fitting name. Maybe we will return for drinks, but the food and dining experience needs severe refinement. Cheers!
