Pebbles Coffee House - East Devon

Since I only had 10 minutes to spare before catching my bus to Sidmouth, I opted not to go to Costa and instead decided to give Pebbles a try. My go-to coffee order is a double macchiato, typically priced around £2.50 to £2.65 at Costa, where they always serve it perfectly. However, at Pebbles, I was shocked to be charged £3.20, the most I have ever paid for a coffee anywhere in the world. Not only was the price exorbitant, but the quality of the coffee was extremely poor. It was overmilked and weak, indicating a lack of skill in preparation. To make matters worse, the service was slow, leaving me no time to address the issue before rushing to catch my bus. Overall, it was a disappointing experience at Pebbles.

The restaurant is very welcoming, especially for those with dogs. The staff is lovely. It was a pleasant coincidence that my dog's name is Pebbles.

This cafe is lovely and serves perfectly cooked food. The staff are friendly and I can't fault anything about my experiences here. Today, I had a vegetarian breakfast that was cooked to perfection, piping hot, and delicious. The kids had sausage, chips, and beans that were also cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, so we were given a takeaway box for the leftovers which my little one enjoyed later on. I have tried a few cafes in the area over the years of visiting Seaton, and this one consistently impresses. We will definitely be back on our holidays next year.
