Lakeview Manor - East Devon

The people are beautiful. chatty smile and in general interest in them and their stay. Eat is nice. the environment is beautiful. will definitely come back. 10/10

All in all, very good. the environment in the orangery was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. jerrod, the chef was very courteous for my friend whose dog managed to bag a little more meat (which was too good for a...dog of my opinion). he was also unapoologetic for his cauliflower and broccoli cheese, which he described as revealing enthusiastically. I couldn't resist at all. I will certainly return because it is worth the trip from london.

I was here a few nights. the staff is very friendly and will go beyond and beyond. breakfast, lunch and dinner were exceptional. chef went beyond and beyond and also served my puppies with a delicious meal, so she was not let out. 10/10 would recommend that someone come for a weekend trip.

We ate here three times in the evening and once at the breakfast and each meal was really excellent. the filet steak was really one of the best I ever had! the menu is relatiw small, but there are some great dishes to explore. to top...it's all they hand-pulloved ale (one of three sorts otters when we stayed this week). we booked and were glad that if they stay in a lodge, they can't have a table in the night.

We came to Lakeview again this year to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as we have done for the last 9 years, since getting married at Lakeview in 2012. The restaurant and bar area have recently undergone a major refurbishment and it is absolutely lovely. The...menu has also been changed and looks incredible. We opted for stuffed mushrooms, followed by fillet steak. Both were absolutely delicious. The fillet steak, in particular, was cooked to perfection by the brilliant chef, Jerod. The best we have EVER had. The quality of the meat was exceptional. Highly recommended. The waiting staff are also brilliant, very attentive and professional. In fact, the whole team at Lakeview are extremely friendly and work hard to make your stay the most enjoyable it can be. The venue is still as stunning and beautiful as it was when we got married 9 years ago. It's so tranquil and relaxing. You can also dine looking out over the beautiful grounds. Well worth a visit.
