Xxl - Ealing

We have holidayed in Swift cottage Herbert Woods marina for many years now. This year the cottage has been tastefuly refurbished with new leather suits real oak furniture and delightful bedding. A new oven and hob and fridge freezer has also been installed. This together with the warm welcome and delightful view means a holiday in Swift cottage will not disappoint. The restaurant simple but the food is very very nice!!! large portions, and filling! I come back later!!

If you are not a well trained eater, beware from taking the soup and another dish, the portions are huge. I had the beetroot soup, which teasted amazing, and a second dish with poultry and the portion was massive. The only down note I have to do is that the chicken was a bit dry, but the rest was amazing. Another down note is that when we went to pay and we asked for a splidded bill (it was me and a friend of mine), the lady at the bar was not very polite with my friend (they spoke polish between them, so I had a later translation). All nice but they could have been a bit more kind, for something that doesn't change anything (it took her three seconds to calcoulate the amount for each of us)
