Bidrage med feedbackStill doing great take home food, they kept us going through lockdown. An Ealing institution. Wendy and Louis, thanks for everything.
I had a fantastic takeaway from The Walpole! The mushrooms were full of flavour, the risotto was delicious, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly. I'm saving the chocolate cake and coffee ice cream for dessert later. I can't wait for The Walpole to reopen after COVID-19, so I can try their full menu.
I had dinner at The Walpole on a Saturday night with some old friends who come back to Ealing specifically for this restaurant. The cheese souffle was light and superb. The sirloin steak was the largest I have ever had and cooked perfectly to my liking. The restaurant doesn't have fancy decor, but serves honest and well-cooked food at a reasonable price. Overall, a great dining experience.
The food was the quality of some of the finest in London. Large portions, friendly staff, and a happy place. Always a pleasure to visit and would recommend to all looking for a lovely place to eat.
For many years we’ve been meaning to eat at The Walpole, tantalised by its menu whenever we walk passed. It is only open at weekends and you have to book in advance. Last night we finally got our act together and reserved a table for three with our daughter. We were in for a very special night, starting with the Raspberry Martini and homebaked bread and ending with a delicious pudding of Siena cakes and chocolate truffles. All the courses are enormous and delicious. The sea bream with Parmesan risotto was truly tasty as was the home cooked Hollandaise sauce that accompanied the fresh Norfolk asparagus. The service was efficient, while being delivered with a warmth that left you believing you could just be in the chef’s front room.
