We dined at XO on Friday, October 9th at 8PM. I started with a beef tartare that was beautifully presented with a poached quail egg and baby arugula. It was one of the best tartares I've ever had, with incredible flavors and a heavenly truffle mayo. For my main course, I had the Free Form Lasagna, which I believe will become the signature dish of the chef. It was a creative and high-end version of lasagna, with delicious chunks of lobster, braided sweetbreads, lobster emulsion, baby spinach, and stracchino cheese. Every element of the dish was superbly tasty. The service was excellent and the decor was elegant, chic, and cozy.
How is this place not placed in the top 10? that was amazing. the service was excellent; very friendly and funny. I had the squash soup that was so much more than suppe, and the skallops that had 100 beautiful, subtle aromen. also the...Amuse-Bäuche were delicious. all in all, in the top 5 meal times of all time for me.
Beautiful, high ceiling area with relaxing lighting and music. bar menu garnelen has a garnel mix, which is served in a long, colorful like, brotboot; a generous portion of fries and salat. but the best part of xo is jean phillipe; cheerful, friendly, amusing, helpful and gracious he is. is really a botanical for the hotel.
Excellent eating, presentation, service and ambiente. plus great jazz. very romantic. highly recommended.
