Le Tiptop - Duras

Ok but nothing special. The staff are very good, the menu is average. Not keen on sitting below a TV screen blaring out. Unfortunately Duras as a whole is becoming colonised by Les Anglais and this affects what's on offer.

The change of name owners and décor has greatly improved this Bistro/Restaurant. Plenty of choice from one plate throughUn Plancha Terre ou Mer to a full three course meal. Food was great as was service. French and English spoken. We will return.This resto needs a new page under its new name

We were looking for a place for lunch and our hotel had recommended a few places.

I was pleased to read earlier review about the woman in charge, as I now know this was not just for our benefit. The surly woman dealt with us as if we were an inconvenience. We would have eaten there, but the order for a coffee set a style that I wondered if she'd spit in our food. I have no idea what rattled her cage. We had to wipe the tables and chairs to sit down as it had been raining earlier, as she consumed her fag while watching us. Avoid if you like friendly service. Coffee was ok.

Service, food quality and price excellent. Very clean. Helpful staff. One of the best in the area. Will visit again.
