As a national trust member it was free, would recommend everyone to join. very helpful guide to the reception that gave us the best route for mobility impairments. also in the new caffe in the mill, good eating. very recommend a visit.
Absolutely loved this place. It's beautiful, and the gardens are gorgeous. Love the fact that people live within the walls of the castle. You might struggle if you're not fully able, as the access into the castle at one point is really steep.
Great views across the local area and seemingly great care given to the upkeep of the gardens which looked stunning in places. Parking at the castle led to a quick explore of Dunster too. Can thoroughly recommend looking out for the courtyard tearoom just up the high street from the castle.
Love this place. Great gardens and walk to the watermill. Lovely house with well presented rooms. Excellent views from the rooms. Only downside is that the village is not what it once was, all feels a bit shabby now. Needs a two tidy up. But the village is nothing to do with the castle.
Fascinating place. Lots to see. Lovely gardens. 3 points of access (2 on foot from the village of Dunster) so potentially a good base for exploring the wider area. Fee for parking and separate fee to enter castle and gardens (check NT website) Somewhat expensive if not a NT memby
