Bidrage med feedbackBon appetit is excellent. we had numerous family celebrations in the upper floor. during this visit we sat outside for a nice lunch. the exhibition is excellent with views of the intracoastal waterway. the meals are good throughout. it's a bit on the expensive side.
Very good food as well as presentation. Service good, bartender at bar (Robbie) was amazing to watch.
Yes it is a beautiful setting, tablecloths, cutlery, restful. The food isn't bad, just not good. I think the cook needs to take a look at some French cookbooks to find out how to make onion soup, which was devoid of carmelized onions and a dash of sherry would have helped. And a better cheese. Still it wasn't the worst I have eaten. C minus. I had two cocktails, the first one was great, brought by the first server. The waiter had no reason to be rude, totally ignoring us and after awhile another server took over our table. I did explain the issue to the manager at the end of the evening. The second cocktail came out wrong, was promptly replaced but it was definitely not the same quality as the first. Ordered a glass of wine later and it was fine. On to the entrees, extremely bland tenderloin tips, again, wine, salt pepper, butter, herbs were all lacking. There were some garlic cloves but they had not been sauteed, just seemed to be thrown into the broth, so they were cooked but not flavorful. My hubbie had filet mignon with bearnaise. The meat was ok but the sauce was not like any bearnaise I have ever tasted or made. The roll and butter were ok, nothing special. We had to ask for bread, had already gotten soup at that point. Watched a pretty sunset, ordered chocolate mousse. Reminded me of a cafeteria dessert--with whipped cream and sprinkles on the top. In fact it tasted like cool whip mixed with a little bit of chocolate syrup. Definitely no eggs. The meal was disappointing food wise but it was not bad tasting, just flavorless... We tried to relax and enjoy the sunset. Also no mention of special event we were celebrating...
Saturday, May 22, late afternoon, outdoor bar. An elderly gentleman and family are getting out of their car (near the bar). A young woman greets the man and starts up the steps to enter the restaurant with him. Bar server Yvonne Massachusetts sees this, and loudly states, Thats right, honey. You get that check! You better help Grandpa (as the woman put her arm around him) up those stairs cause you want that check! Yvonne might argue that they didnt hear her, but I did, and I was a guest at the bar. Is that how you are going to talk about my family when we dine out? Yvonne was loud, crass and rude. It was the worst example of LACK of hospitality I have ever witnessed.
Have always enjoy the food, service and the atmosphere. Waterfront fine dining with both outdoor and inside seating. Consistent great taste regardless of what you choose. I do miss their lobster spaghetti dinner they no longer offer,
