Bidrage med feedbackWe went to this cozy cafe twice. The first time, we picked up some tasty coffee to go, and the second time, we stopped by for some ice cream just before they closed. The staff was very accommodating, even though it was closing time. We enjoyed sitting outside in the small, tranquil garden located behind the bookshop, which is also worth a visit.
Wigtown has many cafes but who can resist a cafe named 'The Beltie '. This animal is new to my husband and I, we thought they were just so unusual, we could see a large group of them from our cottage in which we were staying, and just enjoyed the view every day. The staff are exceptional, smiley and chirpy. We looked forward to a Cheesy Croque at lunch time......SOLD OUT...so sad, but the carrot and Kale Soup was delicious so we forgave them with a smile
Visited whilst on holiday in the area and had a lovely lunch. Great service and decent choice of sandwiches and soups. Friendly service and a lovely garden too. Dogs welcome inside too.
We popped in here for a hot chocolate after our walk. We were drawn by the very reasonable prices £2 a hot chocolate). The welcoming staff confirmed they were dog friendly so we went in! The cafe area is nice and light. The staff straight away brought over a bowl of water for our dog which was well received. We then opted to have a scone each, as we thought £1.75 for a homemade scone was very tempting! We had a limited budget coming away, so the reasonable prices of this cafe meant we could enjoy a hot drink and scone, so thank you!
Very friendly and welcoming book shop and cafe. Water was provided for our dog which was gratefully received by him. Fairly simple menu but the mackerel pate was delicious.
