Kartoffel-Kiste - Duisburg

All dishes have some form of potatoes. This is not bad. It is tasty and not pricy. The atmosphere is great. I would go there again.

We were there on a Sunday, for reasons they don't tell you, they only serve a few meals from the card. Frozen supermarket vegetables and potatoes in a baking dish, some cheese on top, that was it. And the location is so small, the stairs too steep and tiny, no privacy, everyone in the room had to move out of the way when one of us had to go to the toilet, it was just not nice. The waiter was pretty unenthusiastic. All in all, it was barely okay we won't go there again, espcially not on a sunday.

I tiny little restaurant in a historic red brick building with cosy (pub alike) and historic interieur. We had a perfect potato meal, really something to have more often. The servant was friendly with a nice sense of humor and good information about the history of the restaurant right at his fingertips. Was a lot of fun!!

Yesterday we were guests of this place for the first time. Together with our daughters we were on the way back from an event and returned without appointment to 17:10h. The Lord in the Tresen was busy with the phone on time, but was very quickly dedicated to our desire for a table. Although almost all 4 tables seemed reserved, he gave us a place and immediately brought the cards and asked us about our drinks request. The drinks came and the menu order was recorded. We ordered 3 vegetarian dishes, including a children's dish and another children's dish with meat. All dishes were delivered to the table very quickly. The dishes were very appealing, fresh and tasty. We are very excited about the location and can only recommend it. The price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious and the ambience is very appealing. Thank you for this culinary experience

We love the potato box! The service mega good and I don't start eating at all, otherwise I'm hungry... Best rub cake ever. And the ambience is so cozy!
