Cafe Hulsen - Düsseldorf

Three of us visited Cafe Hülsen for a Tuesday dinner. Arrived around 8 pm, the place was full inside and outside with truck drivers, workers, and salesmen. The kitchen is general European with a full page of Serbian dishes like cevap, pljeskavica and such. The...food came in huge portions and was really delicious. The only drawback of the place is that you have to be patient for there is only one waiter running around.

This is a reasonably priced local restaurant. Unpretentious, not Fancy but serves good big portions of lovingly prepared dishes. There is always too much meat yet one cannot stop until it has disappeared from the plate. The flavour or theme of the dishes is generally...from east of the adriatic and there is plenty of flavour. I eat here often and for the price this is a gem.

This restaurant is a short walk from the Ibis Budget hotel. The menu is not extensive but there is a reasonable choice and our meal was delicious. Staff are friendly and happy to answer any questions regarding the food. They spoke enough English to get...by. Cafe Hulsen is clean and cozy and good value for money.

I eat here often and for the price this is a jewel.
