The place is very cramped and crowded. It feels as if every possible peice of floor is taken by tables and chairs. The staff are not very pleasant. I can see a few other comments about the staff and i have to agree, they are quite abrupt and dont smile at all. This is the second time we have been and it spoiled our opinion of the place. We had mushroom in a filo basket for our starter which amazing however, the mains were absolutely swimming in oil. I cant exaggerate enough how much oil was in the main meals. We had to drain it numerous times and even then, it was just saturated in it. We couldn't finish it as it was so heavy. We brought the remainder home and warmed it up to eat and unfortunately, had to drain even more oil. I would recommend requesting less oil when having pasta/noodles.

Lovely food; great evening and service until paying the bill. We’ve visited this restaurant several times before and would always recommend it. We booked to celebrate a 50th birthday with friends. We booked two weeks prior and we were told that they needed the table later in the evening. Couldn’t remember the exact time. The evening went very well, the food was lovely and the service was good, but a little slow, which isn’t unusual for a busy restaurant. We were offered puddings close to 8 O’Clock, so we understood that they were managing the situation for the return of the table and would advise when it was needed. Noting that as it was slow between courses, we assumed no rush. The puddings took some time to arrive and one of them was overlooked, which prolonged the process (arrived around 8:15). Staff kept asking if we wanted anything else and no mention of needing the table back. We were approached to pay the bill after we had finished puddings, which is when the evening turned unpleasant. The member off staff was angry and aggressive with us regarding the return of the table; after explaining the mitigating circumstances, and the fact that they should manage the situation by use of a friendly reminders, we diffused the situation by not engaging further, since the member off staff became visibly angry. He accused us of eating too slow, which isn’t true at all. The restaurant is popular and busy and the service speed reflected that. Basically, a great evening was ruined by an aggressive member of staff. If only they could have said “we needed the table back in 5 minutes” none of this unpleasantness needed to have happened and ruin a special event.

I visited with colleagues and we had a lovely experience. We were impressed with the decor and professional service. The food was lovely it would’ve been nice to have more vegan options though but I understand that demand may be low in that area.
